Pork Belly Rolls with Tofu & Perilla

Ingredients

  • Sliced pork belly12 slices
  • Perilla leaves12 leaves
  • Tofu½ block
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Starch powder
  • Cooking oil
  • Ssamjang (or soy dipping sauce)
  • Tofu — pressed dry
  • Salt — a little

How to make it

    Cut the tofu into thick pieces, press dry with paper towels and salt lightly.

    Lay out a slice of pork belly, add 1 perilla leaf and 1 piece of tofu, and roll up.

  3. 3

    Dust the outside lightly with potato starch.

  4. 4

    Oil a pan, set the rolls seam-side down and cook, turning, until browned all over.

  5. 5

    Once cooked through, cut into bite-size pieces and serve with ssamjang.
